In total, over 65 growers from Rainbow Water and FPUD attended and engaged in important discussions impacting their businesses. The workshop reviewed programs available through MRCD, irrigation automation, the importance of pruning and mulching, and best practices for avocado and citrus growers. Special thanks to our guest speakers: Mia Lorence, MRCD; Nick Krnich, EverDawn Farms; Jeff Dickinson, Dickinson Farms; and Ali Montazar, PhD, University of California Cooperative Extension.

Water Efficiency Technical Asssistance (WETA), a free service available to all Rainbow Water District, Fallbrook Public Utility District, Rancho Water District, parts of Escondido, Oceanside, and Vista. The WETA program offers free:

  • Irrigation evaluations
  • Pump efficiency tests
  • Water and soil tests
  • Expert support
