We have reviewed your application, and you have been accepted to the plant giveaway program. The next step is to confirm your appointment time from the letter mailed to your address. What to expect after submitting the form:

Your Grow with the Flow reservation has been completed and no further action is needed.
Please arrive no more than five minutes before your designated appointment time on Saturday, April 25.
Your 15-minute appointment time will allow staff and volunteers to load plants into your vehicle.
Bring photo ID for program check-in and follow the signs through the Rainbow Water parking lot to receive your plants.
All plants are reserved for each customer, and we are unable to accommodate hand selection or plant exchanges.
Final plant inventory will vary based on the harvest from local nurseries.
There may be a small selection of plants available at the end of the event, and you can share your cell phone number in the appointment confirmation form above to receive a text message to return in the afternoon for additional plants.

We look forward to seeing you in April. Please stop by the Rainbow Water booth at the Avocado Festival on Sunday, April 19, near South Main Avenue and East College Street to receive your free water bottle and mini succulent.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I miss the deadline to confirm my reservation?
To ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to join the Plant Program, please confirm your spot by April 10. If a confirmation form is not received by April 10, your reservation will be forfeited and replaced by customers on the waitlist.

Can I show up early or later than my appointment time?
Please arrive no earlier than five minutes prior to your appointment time to allow ample time for plant pickup. Please email pr@rainbowmwd.com if you need to cancel or update your appointment time.

Can I select my own plants?
Plants are reserved ahead of time for each customer. Due to the large quantity of plants, customers will not be able to hand-pick plants or arrive early to receive plants.

Are the plants free to anyone?
All plants distributed are free to Rainbow Water District customers accepted to the Grow with the Flow program. We are not able to accomodate customers who do not have a program reservation.

What happens after I submit the confirmation form?
Thank you for completing the form, no further action is needed. Your reservation has been confirmed and you will show up to pickup plants at your appointment time.

Can someone else come to pickup my plants?
The name on the application must match the photo ID presented at the pickup event. Please email PR@rainbowmwd.com to add an alternate name to your reservation.

Can you help with planting the succulents?
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide assistance with planting. You can find a certified water-efficient landscape professional on BeWaterWise.com

Do you have landscape classes?
Online and in-person landscape classes are available to help customers plan their garden. A list of free landscape classes from Metropolitan Water District and Green Garden Creations is available at
rainbowmwd.ca.gov/landscape-workshops

Do I need to do anything else after I receive the plants?
As part of the grant program, participants must plant the succulents in their yard located in the Rainbow Water service area and provide a follow up photo after plant installation. A card will be distributed at pick up with details on where to send your photos and enter to win a free landscape book and gardening kit.
