The Rainbow Municipal Water District is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors. The vacancy is due to the resignation of the Director representing Division 3, effective December 31, 2023.

Are you interested in serving your community? Rainbow Water Board members are key decision makers who provide valuable insight, advice, and leadership to support the community.


To serve as a board member, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Applicants must reside within the District’s Division 3 service area (Water Code Section 71250). 

• Applicants must have the ability to attend Board meetings in person at the Rainbow Water office, 3707 Old Highway 395, Fallbrook, CA.

• Board meetings occur on the fourth Tuesday of the month, start at noon or 1 p.m., and last approximately 2-4 hours.

• Board members receive $150 per meeting, and mileage for a maximum of six meetings per month.

• The appointment to the Board is effective until the next regular election, which will occur in November 2024.

Applicants need to submit name, address, contact information, and a brief background of education and experience. Applications must be received no later than January 15, 2024.
